PS APM

January APM Update

What is APM?

Now more than ever, dispensing doctors are working tirelessly to continue to support their local communities during these challenging times. However, in order to support their communities, they need support themselves. The cost of living crisis continues to impact dispensing practices across the country as it becomes increasingly difficult to know which deals are the best, especially on generics.

That’s why PSUK’s Active Price Management was created.

Included with your PSUK membership is an exclusive proposition that allows you to benefit from the best deals on your generics purchasing. So that you can continue to support patients whilst making a profit, as well as saving valuable time as you don’t need to spend precious time hunting for the best price.

The benefits of using APM include:

  • Rebate improves cash flow.
  • Electronic system does the ordering for you - saving you time.
  • Market place is reviewed to ensure you benefit from competitive offers based on your basket of products.
  • High level of product availability through our KEYS offering.
  • Competitive and consistent pricing for all substitute products.
  • APM will always switch the generic ordered to your cheapest option regardless of code ordered.
  • Improves efficiency within the dispensary.
  • Rebates are paid 30 days following the month of purchase.
  • Receive a further 6% off the invoice price if your generics purchases represent 25% of your total spend through PHOENIX.

Coming soon

We’re always looking to enhance your experience using APM so that you’re getting the most out of your PSUK membership. We have numerous developments in the works that we’re looking forward to sharing with you.

The development of the Drug Tariff Review function allows members to receive a warning email or temporarily hold orders for generic products that are above the Drug Tariff Price. This development gives you the control to review orders for these products, allowing you to make the best decision for you practice. We are working closely with the team that develops the PSUK Portal and we are hoping that this new functionality will be rolled out very soon.

Another enhancement to our APM proposition, which we will be launching this month is Pack Size Optimisation. This offering will provide you with guidance on pack size optimisation options – for example, it may be cheaper to order 2 packs of 28 rather than one pack of 56. This information will allow you to make any relevant changes within your dispensary to save your practice money.
