Wakefield Update

In recent years, there has been a remarkable increase in customer demand for our main services, surpassing the market average. Consequently, PHOENIX UK has invested over £13 million to construct a cutting-edge distribution hub in Wakefield. This state-of-the-art facility is set to open in September 2023 and will cater to hospitals, community pharmacies, and dispensing doctors in the North East of England and Yorkshire.

Spanning 260,000 square feet, the hub will prioritize energy efficiency and incorporate Solar PV technology on its roof to align with our sustainability goals. The establishment of this facility will offer our supplier partners a substantial opportunity to expand their product range, with a capacity to handle 22,000 totes per day.

The Wakefield project exemplifies our dedication to investing in the future and enhancing our operational capabilities to provide our customers with the exceptional service they desire and deserve. Additionally, we have introduced innovative service solutions like Golden Tote, centralized repeat prescription assembly, and PilPouch.
